Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented E-commerce Operations & Content Specialist to oversee the day-to-day management of our Shopify store and online marketplace presence while supporting the creation and maintenance of high-quality product content and marketing assets. This role combines e-commerce operations with product content management and requires someone who is equally comfortable working within Shopify, managing marketplace listings, optimizing product information, and creating visually appealing product assets. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills who can take ownership of projects, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to the ongoing growth of our e-commerce business.

Key Responsibilities:

Shopify Store Management

  • Manage and maintain the Shopify store to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
  • Configure and update themes, collections, menus, pages, and applications.
  • Upload, organize, and maintain product listings and collections.
  • Manage wholesale functionality and customer accounts where applicable.
  • Troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements to the customer experience.

Marketplace Management

  • Manage and maintain product listings across multiple online marketplaces, including Walmart, Target Plus, Wayfair, Faire, Etsy, eBay, and other sales channels.
  • Launch new products across all marketplaces while ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and resolve listing errors, feed issues, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure inventory, pricing, and product information remain synchronized across all platforms.
  • Monitor marketplace performance and recommend improvements to listing quality and visibility.

Product Content Management

  • Upload and maintain accurate product information, specifications, and descriptions.
  • Optimize product listings for search visibility and conversion.
  • Organize products into logical collections and categories.
  • Maintain consistency of product data across all e-commerce channels.

Creative Content & Design

  • Create and edit product images for websites and online marketplaces.
  • Resize and optimize images to meet platform-specific requirements.
  • Develop lifestyle images and product graphics using existing photography.
  • Create product infographics, feature highlights, and comparison graphics.
  • Design catalogs, sales sheets, flyers, promotional materials, and trade show collateral.
  • Create website banners and other digital marketing assets as required.
  • Ensure all creative assets remain consistent with established brand guidelines.

Digital Asset Management

  • Organize and maintain product photography, design files, and digital asset libraries.
  • Ensure all content is properly labelled, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Maintain version control across creative assets and product content.

Operational Excellence

  • Research and recommend new applications, integrations, and tools that improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve internal processes.
  • Support the ongoing development and optimization of the company’s e-commerce ecosystem.
  • Utilize modern productivity and automation tools where appropriate to improve efficiency while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while consistently meeting deadlines and business objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing Shopify stores.
  • Experience managing products across multiple online marketplaces.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce operations and product merchandising.
  • Experience uploading and maintaining large product catalogs.
  • Knowledge of product SEO and conversion optimization principles.
  • Experience creating and editing product imagery and marketing collateral.
  • Proficiency in Canva Pro and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with wholesale or B2B e-commerce functionality.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and product synchronization tools.
  • Familiarity with CSV imports, bulk product management, and feed management.
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience using automation and productivity tools to improve workflows.
  • Knowledge of marketplace best practices and evolving e-commerce trends.
