Overview:
Our client, Counterly, is an AI-powered software company revolutionizing the countertop estimation industry. The platform utilizes artificial intelligence to analyze kitchen layouts and architectural drawings, dramatically reducing the time required to generate accurate countertop estimates. The software is approximately 80% complete, and we are looking for an experienced developer to help complete the remaining development, support future enhancements, and maintain the platform as it scales.
We are seeking a highly skilled AI Software Developer / AI Automation Specialist with strong experience in Node.js and AI-powered applications. This role will be responsible for completing the remaining development of the Counterly platform, maintaining the application, implementing new features, resolving bugs, and improving overall system performance. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working on innovative AI products and wants to play a key role in bringing a commercial SaaS platform to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete the remaining software development required for the Counterly platform.
- Develop, test, and deploy new application features.
- Maintain and enhance existing Node.js applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software bugs and production issues.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Work with AI technologies, including Claude AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Integrate and maintain APIs and third-party services.
- Review and improve software architecture and code quality.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and recommend best practices.
- Collaborate directly with the founder regarding product priorities and future enhancements.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support after product launch.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js.
- Experience building and maintaining web applications.
- Experience integrating AI models or Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable application design.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Claude AI or similar AI platforms.
- Experience developing AI-powered SaaS products.
- Familiarity with construction technology, estimating software, or CAD-related applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in startup environments.
