Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and execution-driven Social Media & Marketing Specialist who can also function as a Project Manager to oversee and streamline marketing operations. This role will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, managing content and campaigns, and coordinating across teams to ensure consistent brand growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Conduct a full audit of current social media and digital presence (e.g., Instagram, email, website)
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business goals
- Plan and execute campaigns across social media, email, and other digital channels
- Optimize content for SEO and AI-driven discovery (e.g., ChatGPT/search visibility)
- Identify growth opportunities and recommend data-driven improvements
Social Media Management
- Oversee content planning, creation, and publishing across platforms
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and video editors to produce high-quality content
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages (or oversee team handling it)
- Track performance metrics and adjust strategy accordingly
Project Management & Team Coordination
- Act as the central point of coordination for all marketing initiatives
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and workflows using tools like Asana
- Delegate tasks to internal team members or external contractors (designers, editors, etc.)
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with strategic goals
- Provide regular updates, reports, and insights to stakeholders
Marketing Operations
- Support email marketing campaigns (newsletters, promotions, automations)
- Coordinate content calendars and campaign schedules
- Help streamline and document marketing processes for scalability
- Identify opportunities to offload tasks from internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media marketing and digital strategy
- Strong project management skills with experience coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Experience using tools like Asana (or similar project management platforms)
- Solid understanding of SEO, content marketing, and performance analytics
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in restaurant, hospitality, or local business marketing is a plus
Nice to Have:
- Experience managing end-to-end marketing operations
- Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and optimization
- Background in managing multi-location or franchise businesses
- Basic graphic design or copywriting knowledge
