Overview:
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Video Editor & Motion Graphics Virtual Assistant to support a growing video production and content creation company. This role is ideal for someone with strong storytelling ability, cinematic editing experience, and a passion for producing high-quality visual content. The ideal candidate understands pacing, emotion, branding, and audience engagement — not just technical editing. You will work directly with the creative lead to support post-production workflows for interviews, branded content, and digital media projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form and short-form video content with strong storytelling structure
- Create cinematic, engaging edits aligned with the company’s creative direction
- Add motion graphics, transitions, animations, and visual enhancements
- Organize raw footage, project files, and assets efficiently
- Collaborate closely with the creative lead to execute feedback and revisions
- Ensure consistency in editing style, pacing, branding, and quality
- Export and deliver final videos according to platform specifications
- Assist with light graphic design tasks when needed (thumbnails, social posts, covers, etc.)
- Maintain project timelines and communicate progress proactively
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in professional video editing
- Strong storytelling and cinematic editing skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects
- Strong understanding of pacing, sound design, transitions, and visual flow
- Ability to follow creative direction while contributing ideas
- Strong English communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Reliable internet connection and capable workstation for video editing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience editing interviews, podcasts, or branded content
- Motion graphics and animation experience
- Familiarity with Photoshop
- Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve
- Experience working remotely with creative teams
- Understanding of YouTube and social media content optimization
