Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor Virtual Assistant to support a growing video production company. This role is focused on alleviating the current editing workload by delivering high-quality video content across a variety of styles, including cinematic storytelling and high-energy (“hype”) edits. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of translating creative direction into polished final outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing & Production
- Edit raw footage into polished, client-ready videos
- Align and sequence clips, project flow and storytelling direction
- Apply color correction and grading to ensure visual consistency
- Add sound effects, music, and audio enhancements
- Incorporate graphics, transitions, and motion elements as needed
Creative Execution
- Adapt editing style based on project requirements (cinematic vs. high-energy content)
- Understand and execute client vision with minimal direction
- Ensure videos feel authentic, engaging, and aligned with brand tone
Collaboration & Workflow
- Work closely with the videographer and internal team to ensure smooth handoffs
- Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently
- Meet agreed turnaround times and deadlines
- Maintain organized project files and assets
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor (portfolio required)
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Adobe After Effects (or equivalent tools with compatible output)
- Strong understanding of video editing principles, pacing, and storytelling
- Experience with color grading and sound design
- Ability to follow creative direction and adapt to different styles
- Strong attention to detail and organization
Nice to Have:
- Experience editing content for agencies or production companies
- Exposure to multiple content styles (corporate, cinematic, social media, etc.)
- Basic motion graphics skills

Schedule:
- Part-time (20–30 hours per week to start, scalable)
